Sichuan Bluestar Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter called “Bluestar Machinery”), with a registered capital of RMB41,000,000 jointly invested by Bluestar Petrochemicals and Bluestar Group (Shifang) Southwest Chemical Machinery, is a subsidiary of China National Bluestar (Group) Corporation (hereinafter called "Bluestar Group"). The Group, a large-scale state-owned enterprise, has taken leading positions in chemical new materials, industry cleaning, and membrane and water treatment fields in China mainland. The well-known brand "BlueStar" is the first one of industrial service in China.
Bluestar Machinery, located in Mazu, Shifang, Sichuan, occupies land of 180,000 square meters and employs more than 1,000 staff members. The business includes three parts: pressure vessels, castings and forgings, and environment protection.The annual output of the company is more than 250 million. The company is the largest pressure vessel manufacturer in the southwest of China, the largest supplier of the core part of alloy steel frog for railways and the third largest supplier of non-magnetic steel for transformers in China. The company is ranked as one of 500 lagest industrial enterprises in machinery fabrication, one of 50 largest manufacturers for oil refinery and chemical production equipment, and one of the national key enterprises of major technical equipmenth in China. The subsidiaries of Bluestar Machinery include: China Bluestar Environment Protection Equipment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned firm and SD Machinery Corporation, a joint venture.
Bluestar Machinery takes over the main business of Southwest Chemical Machinery Co., Ltd. and Bluestar Group (Shifang) Southwest Chemical Machinery. The main products of Bluestar Machinery include:
- Steel pressure vessels such as drums, heat exchangers, reactors, columns, spherical tanks for oil & gas, chemicals, power station, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals and other industries;
- Steel castings and forgings such as alloy frogs for speeding-up and high-speed railways, non-magnetic steels for transformers, armor steels, modified 8620 antomotive holder blocks, cast or forged crank axles and etc.;
- Environment protection technologies and products such as double-walled oil tanks for gas stations, medical refuse and living waste treatment systems, on-line BOD/COD/TOC water quality monitors and restaurant lampblack purifiers.
The products of Bluestar Machinery have been far sold to Austrilia, Indonesia, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Italy, Japan and Singapore.
Bluestar Machinery has established sales offices in Beijing, Wuhan, Baoji and Chongqing.
Bluestar Machinery is an official holder of Design Qualification Certificate and Fabrication License of Class I, II & III (A1, A2 and A3) Pressure Vessels to the Chinese GB Code, a holder of ASME Certificates of Authorization and U & U2 Stamps, and also a holder of ISO9001 Certificate.
Bluestar Machinery owns more than 800 sets of engineering, production and testing facilities, such as large computer-aided-design (CAD) station, 50mm plate roller, 1200-ton water press, ESAB overlay welding machine, large welding positioner, tube-to-tubesheet automatic welding machine, hydraulic tube expander, multi-layer vessel wrapping machine, CNC plasma cutter, 5×4.5×15m annealing furnace, 5-meter vertical lathe, 10-ton electric furnace, 5-ton open die eletrohydraulic hammer, fin-tube production line, Ir-192 and Co-60 radiographic testing machine, spectrum readout analyzer and etc.
The former body of the company, southwest Chemical machinery Co., Ltd. was a listed company in 1997 and merged into Bluestar Group in 2000.
